History

MIRBUD S.A. is one of the largest construction companies in Poland. The Company has been working on its image since 1988. It was then that the current main shareholder, Jerzy Mirgos, started his business activity in the construction industry. Experience gained over the years has contributed to building a strong company with professional staff and modern technical facilities.

Today, MIRBUD S.A. is one of the largest construction companies in Poland, the annual revenues of the MIRBUD Capital Group exceed PLN 1 billion. The Company is one of the few and the only fully Polish company of this size in the industry.

The following are some of the key dates from the Company’s life that have become milestones in its development.

 

MIRBUD successively expanded its portfolio by adding to a long list of prestigious projects the construction of shopping and logistics centres. In 2005, MIRBUD recorded a more than threefold increase in revenues from the sale of construction services. The Company confirmed its professionalism by building a shopping and logistics centre in Wólka Kosowska with an area of over 40,000 m2.

In 2005, the Company’s activity was appreciated - MIRBUD received a certificate for the Management System according to EN ISO 9001:2000 issued by TUV CERT.

In 2008, despite the ongoing economic crisis in the financial markets, MIRBUD S.A. was implementing the adopted development strategy, while increasing its revenues. It started to perform one of the largest contracts in the history of its activity - expansion of the “Maximus” shopping centre in Nadarzyn for Sybilgroup. In addition, among the commenced projects under the name of MIRBUD S.A., the following are noteworthy: the construction of a warehouse hall with office space in Skierniewice for VOG Polska and a shopping and office centre in Jabłonowo, reconstruction of a logistics hall in Wólka Kosowska for GD Poland, expansion of the KONGSKILDE factory in Kutno and the construction of a crossroads within national road No. 14 in Łowicz.

In mid-2008, investment tasks in the field of housing construction in the developer system were taken over by a subsidiary - JHM DEVELOPMENT Sp. z o.o., whose separation from the structures of MIRBUD S.A. was a response to the needs of the dynamically developing real estate market.

Diversification of activities became a guarantee of stability of the Capital Group established with MIRBUD S.A. as the parent company.
On 29 December 2008, MIRBUD S.A. made its debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The stock exchange debut crowned the 20th anniversary of the Company’s activity.

MIRBUD S.A. added the extension of the “Maximus” Shopping Centre, worth over PLN 100 million* to the list of completed contracts.
The Company’s activity was once again noticed by local and economic circles. In 2009, MIRBUD S.A. was awarded the title of Honorary Ambassador of Skierniewice. The award was granted due to the dynamic development of the Company, which as one of the largest employers in the region promotes the town in Poland and is a guarantee of stable employment.

 

In 2010, MIRBUD S.A. signed further prestigious contracts. The Company built a showroom and service station for Mercedes-Benz cars in Stryków worth over PLN 59 million, a Production and Film Centre for ATM Studio in Warsaw worth over PLN 45 million, and concluded an agreement for almost PLN 54.5 million relating to a Science Centre for the University of Warsaw.  It also conducted works as the Consortium leader at the Ełk bypass whose cost amounted to PLN 128.8 million.

The successive development of the Company was emphasised by the ceremonial opening of the new registered office of MIRBUD S.A.
In 2010, a subsidiary of JHM DEVELOPMENT Sp. z o.o. joined the MIRBUD Group - Marywilska 44 Sp. z o.o., which is the owner and manager of the largest complex of trade fair halls within the capital city of Warsaw.

The MIRBUD Group was also expanded by Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Dróg i Mostów Sp. z o.o. from Kobylarnia, specialising in road works and production of bituminous masses.

At the end of 2010, JHM DEVLOPMENT Sp. z o.o. was transformed into a joint-stock company.

MIRBUD S.A. was one of the fastest growing Polish companies in terms of market value and was awarded the Forbes Diamond.

 

The MIRBUD Capital Group closed the year 2018 with revenue of PLN 1,143,128 thousand (approx. EUR 272,173 thousand). This was the highest ever revenue of the Group being placed higher and higher in the Deloitte Ranking of the 15 largest construction companies in Poland.
